Launch of map
Despite it being rather a wet evening, around 40 regular orienteers and local residents successfully launched the new Halton orienteering map on Tuesday May 28th. The map has been designed by experts from South Ribble Orienteering Club and gives people a chance to explore the village in a new way – with markers in key strategic places.
It was a very enjoyable evening with a good atmosphere in The Centre’s Coffee Shop which was kept open late to support this important event.
Chris Roberts has been the key SROC contact and has put a lot of effort into this project on behalf of The Centre and thanks are due to him.
The final version of the map will be available shortly to be used by Halton residents and others. Anyone wanting to receive a pdf copy should e-mail
Susan Lucas on email: email@example.com
and a copy will be forwarded as soon as it is finalised.
