Special Christmas lunch for over 55s
The over 55s special Christmas lunch at The Centre @Halton on December 12th was attended by a record 35 people who very much enjoyed the wonderful traditional lunch and atmosphere.
They were also entertained by 3 and 4 year olds from the Pre-School group singing favourite children’s songs, and then members of the Lune Valley Voices led the singing of well-known Christmas carols.
A great time was had by all, with the event being rounded off by a ‘thank you’ presentation to Angela Kirby for the many great meals she has provided all year. There was also a vote of thanks for Centre Manager, Maureen Richardson, who organises the popular lunch series so well.
There will be a break over the festive season, and then the Luncheon Club re-starts on
Friday 9th January with DISCOVERING LAKE DISTRICT VILLAGES with Andrew Lowe, former Building Conservation Officer for the Lake District National Parks Authority.
Then on Friday 23rd January there will be INSPIRE – Drugs and Alcohol Service along with can help – accessing advise services locally.
People now need to BOOK IN ADVANCE each week with Maureen Richardson on tel: 01524 811316 or by e-mail: Centremanager@haltoncentre.org
