Community Comes Together

What a wonderful day we all had on Monday at the Coronation Party!

It was a joy to see so many people from our local community and surrounding areas come together! From tiny babies to octogenarians, the cross generational gathering had something for everyone

The bouncy castle was never empty and the face painting didn’t stop. Plenty had a go on the archery, tin can alley and other family games.

Along with other members of the community, Beavers and Cubs collected 7 big bags of rubbish, although some could hardly find any – a great problem to have! Later Scouts served over 150 scones and drinks!
Well done to the whole of 1st Halton Scout group and their leaders.

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped on the day: setting up, running the bar, plenty of washing up and tidying away at the end.

Let’s Build on the Success

If the Big Help Out has inspired you to volunteer in your community, talk to us about what you can offer. We have a number of roles and times were help is always much appreciated. Please see the (not exhaustive!) list below or speak to one of the Office staff if you have a particular interest or skill you think might be useful.

Halton Community Association is the volunteer committee who manage The Centre and the work is funded by the hire of our space, Coffee Shop sales and user group subs. We are able to apply for funding for some of our endeavours but we rely on volunteer help to keep our activities running at as low a cost as possible. This enables more of the income raised to go into the running of the building and the continuation of our groups and activities that serve the people of Halton so well.
