The Centre @ Halton relies heavily on volunteers to support the part-time staff and very much appreciates their time and efforts.
Caring for others is fundamental to our happiness. Helping other people is not only a great thing to do, it also makes us happier and healthier too. If you want to feel good, perhaps consider volunteering for HCA.
Do you have a skill you can share with us? We value any help in any form.
Areas to volunteer in
We need more volunteers for our Coffee Shop mainly during the week. You will always be supported by another member of staff. Please contact email@example.com for more information.
Duke of Edinburgh Award
We will always welcome young volunteers to help in the Coffee Shop towards the volunteering section of their Duke of Edinburgh award. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to join us. Young volunteers work alongside an adult to help run the Coffee Shop. Hours are flexible with most offering 2-3 hours a week.
Luncheon Club could do with some assistants to prepare meals under the guidance of our regular cook. We also need more volunteers to help with various tasks, including setting out tables and chairs, and laying the tables, serving hot drinks, serving the meals, washing up, and putting everything away afterwards. If you are able to offer lifts to any of our Luncheon Club members this would also be very helpful. Please contact email@example.com if you can help with Luncheon Club.
One off events, parties and bars
When we hold fundraising events we always we need volunteers to help set up and clear down the tables and chairs, to serve drinks in the bar, collect glasses and of course wash up at the end!
DIY and odd jobs
If you can spare any time or have a particular skill we always welcome help to keep the Centre building operating. We occasionally run DIY days where any and all help is much appreciated.
